I wanted to write to let you know how happy we are with our new Kinetico Water system. We've...
Inventor of Reverse Osmosis
Donald T. Bray, President and founder of Desalination Systems and Nimbus Water Systems, an inventor of many Reverse Osmosis Systems, is an eminently qualified chemical engineer. Mr. Bray holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in chemical engineering. In 1951, he was the number one graduate in the first class of Oak Ridge School of Reactor Technology.
Mr. Bray's experience includes many years as a project engineer in research and development with Union Carbide & Carbon Co., Phillips Petroleum Co., Monsanto Chemical Co., stationed in Rome, Italy. For seven years prior to forming Desalination Systems Inc., Mr. Bray was a staff member of General Dynamics, General Atomic Division, engaged in research and development in reverse osmosis. Mr. Bray is considered one of the fathers of membrane and reverse osmosis technology.
He is regarded as one of the most knowledgeable scientists engaged in the quest for pure water. His dedications to research and development has kept Desalination Systems and Nimbus Water Systems on the leading edge in the fields of reverse osmosis and ultra filtration.
Innovative spirit made Nimbus president Donald T. Bray one of the founding fathers of modern R/O membrane technology. In 1968, after years of membrane research which resulted in the invention of the spiral-wound membrane design, Don Bray introduced the industry's first household reverse osmosis drinking water system. With over 50 patents awarded to Don Bray and his group of companies, these innovations have become industry standard.
